For answering from your own documents in regulated work, yes. ChatGPT is a general-purpose assistant. Certant answers only from your documents, shows the paragraph each answer came from, says when the documents do not cover a question, and can run on your own infrastructure.
Does ChatGPT Enterprise keep data in Australia?
OpenAI offers data storage at rest in Australia for eligible ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu workspaces. Inference, where prompts are processed, is offered in Europe, the US and the UAE, not Australia, as of November 2026.
Can ChatGPT search company knowledge and the web at the same time?
Not according to OpenAI's announcement: while company knowledge is switched on in a chat, ChatGPT cannot search the web or create charts and images.
