HR and IT answers without the queue
The answers already exist in your policy documents. A Certant chatbot puts them in front of your team privately, in Slack or Teams.

Every answer carries the paragraph it came from.
An internal employee chatbot answers your team's HR, IT and policy questions from your actual policy documents, privately, with citations, and without leaving your tenant.
Every question gets handled the way HR would handle it, at any hour.
The questions that fill the queue
Three categories cover most of an internal helpdesk's volume.
"What's my leave balance?"
Leave balances, parental leave, expense policy, expense thresholds, internal transfer process, EBA entitlements, performance review timelines.
- Pulls live data from Workday / BambooHR
- Cites the exact policy paragraph
- Knows your EBA
"How do I request a new laptop?"
Password resets, VPN access, software requests, hardware refresh cycle, BYOD policy, MFA setup, common-app onboarding.
- Opens tickets in ServiceNow / Jira on request
- Steps the user through self-serve resets
- Hands off with full context
"Is this expense reimbursable?"
Travel policy, corporate card limits, vendor onboarding, signing authority matrix, gift policy, conflict-of-interest declarations.
- Always cites the policy version
- Escalates ambiguous cases to a human
- Logs decisions for audit
How the privacy model works
The objection that decides this is "what if my question leaks?"
Conversations are private to the asker and scoped to the employee. HR and IT see what people ask, not who asked it, unless your own policy says otherwise.
Conversations stay inside your tenant, never training a public model or leaving your perimeter. For regulated customers, the whole platform runs inside your own walls.
You set your own retention window, deleting automatically or keeping it for audit. The employee can see and clear their own history.
Five steps to live
The path from greenlight to live in Slack.
- Connect docs Policy PDFs, the EBA, the HRIS, the employee handbook. Certant reads them in place.
- Set the tone Brand voice, fallback messages, "always escalate these topics to a human" list.
- Connect Slack / Teams Native app install. Per-channel or DM-only modes. SSO with your IdP.
- Pilot A small group first. The dashboard shows what is working and where the policy itself is unclear.
- Ship company-wide Roll out to everyone, and HR stops being the first stop for every question.
What people and IT leads ask
Six questions that come up before every rollout.
What is an internal employee chatbot?
An internal employee chatbot is a private chat surface that reads your organisation's HR, IT, finance and policy documents, and answers staff questions in plain English with citations. It lives in Slack, Teams, the intranet and mobile, where your team already works.
What kinds of questions can it answer?
How much leave do I have? What's the expense policy for client lunches? How do I request a new laptop? What's the parental leave entitlement? Which form do I use for an internal transfer? Anything that lives in a policy document, the chatbot can answer with a citation.
Will it leak my private question to ChatGPT or anywhere else?
No. Certant runs inside your tenant. Conversations never train a public model and never leave your perimeter, and can be retained or auto-deleted per your policy. For sovereign customers, it runs fully on-prem or air-gapped.
Does it work in Slack and Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Native Slack and Teams apps with DM mode, channel mode, and slash commands. Same answers, same citations, same privacy boundary.
What happens if it doesn't know?
It says so instead of guessing, and offers to route the question to the right team with the full context. Saying "I don't know, here's who does" beats inventing an answer.
Does HR or IT see every question?
You choose. By default, questions are private to the employee asking. Aggregated, anonymised analytics let HR see what people ask most, without seeing who asked what. That is what shows you where policy or comms is unclear.
Give your team somewhere to ask
Cited, and inside your tenant. Live in Slack or Teams.
Your team will ask someone before they read the policy book. Make sure the someone they ask is private and cites the policy.
